FAQ

Need answers

Get clear and helpful answers to common questions about Saypha® fillers, from what to expect during your appointment to how to care for your skin afterwards, helping you feel confident every step of the way.

How does a treatment work?+

Treatments with saypha® are non-surgical, aiming minimal recovery time and in the majority of cases results which are visible right after the procedure. Depending on your skin and individual wishes, the healthcare professional will choose the most suitable product from the saypha® HA filler range to fulfill your needs and expectations. The injection itself may only take about 15 to 30 minutes. During the procedure, gel will be injected in small amounts into the treatment area until the desired aesthetic outcome is achieved. Your healthcare professional may massage the treatment area gently to ensure that the product integrates in the skin and is evenly distributed for a smooth, natural look. A cooling pad may be applied for a brief period following treatment to minimize swelling and reduce pain.

Is the treatment painful?+

The injections are done with very fine needles or cannulas and incorporated lidocaine provides a numbing effect, supporting your comfort during the treatment. Subject to the treated area and your sensitivity, an anaesthetic cream or a local anaesthetic injection can be given additionally.c,5–16

How long will the result last?+

The results of an aesthetic treatment with saypha® are long lasting, but not permanent. Depending on the product used, the injection area and the individual dispositions of the skin, the results can last for several months up to 1 year.5–8

Should I avoid certain activities after the treatment?+

Do not apply any make-up for 12 hours after the procedure. Avoid intense exercise during the first 48 hours following the procedure. Avoid strong sunlight or heat in the first 48 hours after the procedure. Do not massage the area where the implant was injected in the first two days after the procedure — the implant may move, and the puncture site may not heal well.5–8

Is everyone suitable to have the treatment?+

Your healthcare professional will help you decide which treatment is right for you. You may not be suitable for HA filler treatment if you: are taking blood thinners (anticoagulants), are taking medicines that stop cells in the blood from sticking together (such as acetylsalicylic acid), have a history of autoimmune disease, have an underlying connective tissue disease, have severe allergies, or have had a serious allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) in the past.5–8
